30 day Disney World challenge: Day 21
Favorite character to see in the parks: Donald Duck
A few quick facts:
- Donald Duck was created in 1931
- Donald is a anthropomorphic (an animal with human like characteristics) white duck who is often wearing a blue sailor shirt with a cap
- Donald is most famous for his semi-intelligible speech and his mischievous and irritable personality
- Depending on the area of Disney World you’re in, Donald is often seen donning different attire, a sombrero and serape in the Mexican pavilion or a raccoon skin cap in Frontierland

30 day Disney World challenge: Day 20
Favorite Disney World dessert: Apple Pie (usually from the Liberty Inn in Epcot)
A few quick facts:
- It’s apple pie, that’s about it!
I love apple pie so I always end up getting this, I can never really eat thick cake or heavy chocolate when it’s too hot out so this is what I go for.

30 day Disney World challenge: Day 19
Least favorite attraction: Stitch’s Great Escape
A few quick facts:
- Stitch’s Great Escape is a theatre-in-the-round experience starring the title alien from the 2002 Disney movie Lilo & Stitch
- The attraction uses the set and some of the same technology as its predecessor, Alien Encounter, and uses many of your senses to create the experience
- Unlike Alien Encounter which was unintended for children under 12, Stitch’s Great Escape is much more kid friendlier
I like how online people call it Stitch’s Great Mistake, I can’t help but agree.

30 day Disney World challenge: Day 18
What attraction do you wish they’d bring back: ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter
A few quick facts:
- Alien Encounter was a theatre-in-the-round attraction in Tomorrowland
- It was a darkly humorous science fiction experience that used binaural sound to achieve its effects
- The ride warned guests that it was intense and unintended for children under the age of 12
- It closed permanently in October of 2003 and the spot was replaced with Stitch’s Great Escape which uses the same set and much of the same technology in a more kid friendlier way
- Unlike Stitch’s Great Escape, much of Alien Encounter took place in total darkness and relied on the riders non-visual senses
I think I have to give my own opinion on why I picked this ride. Alien Encounter brought a great dark element to Disney and Tomorrowland, I think by using everyone’s unknown fear of an actual Alien encounter and staying true to the “tomorrow/out of this world” aspect that Tomorrowland shows. It was intense when I was 9 but in a good way and who didn’t love Tim Curry voicing one of those robots.

30 day Disney World challenge: Day 17
Favorite Disney World restaurant: 50’s Prime Time Cafe
A few quick facts:
- 50’s Prime Time Cafe serves American comfort food in a TV-themed setting

- Feel at home in Mom’s kitchenette but remember to mind your manners and eat your veggies or you may find yourself in the corner
- With 50’s knick-knacks and a View Master that displays the dessert menu, 50’s Prime Time Cafe’s main ingredient is nostalgia and you’re sure to feel right at home

30 day Disney World challenge: Day 16
Favorite snack to grab in the park: Candy/Caramel apples
A few quick facts:
- Under all that delicious coating is usually a green granny smith apple since the tart flavor of the apple contrasts nicely with the candy coating
- Your choice of toppings are endless, starting with your traditional red candy shell or plain caramel dipped, but if your craving a real sweet treat just about any other candy topping can be found
- At Goofy’s Candy Company in Downtown Disney, you can even customize an apple any way you want while you wait
- Those dressed up apples can be difficult and messy to eat at times, so ask a cast member behind the counter to cut the apple in easy to eat slices for you to enjoy on your way around the parks

30 day Disney World challenge: Day 14
Favorite Animal Kingdom attraction: Expedition Everest
A few quick facts:
- This ride is based on Mount Everest, a mountain in the Himalayas. However, the attraction is not a reproduction of Mount Everest; it is the fictional ”Forbidden Mountain” guarded by the Yeti
- The attractions concept is that it’s a passenger train offering a speedy route through the Himalayas to the base of Mount Everest
- Expedition Everest’s queue is built to look like a small Asian town, it’s monastery and their museum dedicated to the local legend of the Yeti
- Guests are welcomed to toss coins on the shrine dedicated to the spirit of the Yeti

30 day Disney World challenge: Day 13
Favorite Animal Kingdom area: DinoLand USA

- DinoLand USA is home to the DINOSAUR attraction, a thrill ride featuring a trip through time to the late Cretaceous Period
- The rest of DinoLand is set up in a carnival fashion featuring roadside attractions and games
